Your new Home for Music

What is Husic?

We are a music marketplace and streaming platform built for artist sustainability. Husic bridges the gap between discovery and consumption, with a mission to honor artists and fans through a cultural experience that values fairness, community, and the nuances of human taste.

About the founder

Our founder, Lanny Wilson, is a long-standing member of the Los Angeles hip-hop community with decades of experience as both an artist and community builder.

Artistically known as GaKnew Roxwel, Wilson is a National Poetry Slam Champion who has performed on Russell Simmons’ Def Poetry Jam and shared stages with Eminem, Mos Def, Jill Scott, and other cultural icons. He also spent more than 15 years at the Children’s Law Center of California, where he co-developed programs supporting youth in foster care, and later became a Career Technical Education teacher in art and animation.

When Wilson returned to music as an independent artist, he was met with the harsh reality that today’s so-called “indie era” wasn’t built for sustainability. The tools and platforms available promised opportunity, but in practice left artists pouring in time and money for little return.

Rather than accept those limits, Wilson set out to design the kind of platform he wished existed — one that would empower artists, attract fans, and make music culture sustainable again. That vision became Husic.
